The American Red Cross Nurse Assistant Training (NAT) Program in Alexandria, Virginia is now offering tuition scholarships to active duty military members, reserve members, veterans, immediate family members, their spouses, and wounded warriors through generous grants funded by the Wounded Warrior Project, AT&T, and the Ford Motor Company.
The American Red Cross NAT Program prepares Nursing Assistants for high quality and compassionate care through lecture, video, role-playing, and hands-on laboratory and clinical practice. The completion of the NAT Program fulfills the Virginia Board of Nursing's 120-hour requirement in order to become a Nurse Assistant and provides qualification to apply for the Virginia state exam.
The Wounded Warrior Scholarship, sponsored by the Wounded Warrior Project, is available to 10 recipients. Active duty military, reserve members, wounded warriors, immediate family members, Wound Warrior Project alumni, and caregivers of wounded warriors are eligible to apply. A military identification or DD214 and medical status record is necessary to apply.
AT&T Scholarships are available to 24 recipients. Active duty military, reserve members, their immediate family members, spouses, and veterans are eligible to apply. Military identification is required.
The Ford Blue Oval, sponsored by Ford Motor Company, is available to 20 recipients. Active duty military, reserve members, veterans, spouses, and immediate family members are encouraged to apply.
