Gabby Hefetz began volunteering with the Red Cross in January 2014 and quickly established herself as an invaluable member of the team! She is a self-motivated, kind, flexible, and determined person, who has lent her talents and skills to multiple departments.
Gabby is an active member of the Disaster Services team, most often supporting residents who have been displaced because of a house fire. She is also an integral part of the Service to the Armed Forces team. Her main focus with SAF has been developing a stronger new volunteer engagement and retention program, and conducting follow up with our military and disaster clients to ensure they felt comforted and taken care of by the organization.
Gabby has also taken on an International Services Leader role with Humanitarian Law and Refugee Services. Currently, she is working with the City of Baltimore and other agencies to simulate a refugee camp, designed to raise awareness about the daily struggles refugees encounter. We are lucky to have this Renaissance woman on our team. Thank you for your service, Gabby!
