Hawaii Red Cross volunteer teams will be checking hardest hit neighborhoods

Volunteers with the Hawaii Red Cross assisted two Pearl City families affected by residential flooding as a result of Kilo’s downpour on Sunday evening.  Oahu Red Cross disaster volunteers met with the affected residents to ensure that immediate emergency needs were met and provided the families with comfort kits, clean-up items, bedding, food and groceries. Caseworkers will continue to follow up with anyone affected in the coming weeks to provide referrals, guidance or additional assistance as needed to help with the recovery process.

Hawaii Red Cross volunteer teams will be checking hardest hit neighborhoods on Oahu, Maui and Kauai today to assess any unreported flood damage.
