Red Cross provided for both family's emergency disaster caused needs.
The Red Cross was called to the scene of a duplex fire in St. Joseph at approximately noon on Friday, August 30. The fire, on Chateau Drive, left two families (4 people) homeless. The cause of the fire is not yet known but the duplex sustained major damage. The families were not home at the time of the fire and sadly some pets perished in the fire. Red Cross provided for both family's emergency disaster caused needs including food and clothing. Both families have insurance, and Red Cross staff will continue to assist the families as they travel the road to recovery.
