The American Red Cross is pleased to announce Amber Wood as the new American Red Cross Executive Director for the Moline based chapter. She will serve a 19 county region including the Quad Cities area, West Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri. Betsy Pratt, the previous executive director, accepted a new position with the Red Cross and will now be the Regional Chief Executive Officer for a 79 county region headquartered out of Peoria, IL.
Wood has a B.S. in Communications Technology Management from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and a Masters of Arts in Organizational Management from Ashford University. She also has an extensive background in non-profit management. She was most recently the Executive Director for the Clinton based Red Cross chapter and has also been active in a variety of community-based groups.
Daniel R. Kueter, Red Cross board chair says, “We are looking forward to working with Amber in her new Red Cross role. Her experience in management, fundraising and community relations will make her a wonderful addition to our team.”

Wood assumed her new duties on October 27, 2014 and will work out of the Moline Red Cross office.
