The Bluegrass Chapter of the American Red Cross is proud to introduce “Piper the Puppy” and the opening of Piper’s Playhouse!
“Piper the Puppy” is a plush stuffed animal character, designed by Texas toymaker Phebe Phillips for the American Red Cross. Piper’s Playhouse is a project funded by the Holley Wealth Advisory Group of Hilliard Lyons. As the Red Cross assists families affected by disaster, Piper will provide children with comfort on a day when they have experienced an overwhelming situation.
Thanks to this generous donation, Piper’s Playhouse is a safe place for youth of all ages. Located at the Bluegrass Chapter, the space includes comfortable seating, games, and activities. The space is designed as a place for children to relax and restore while families meet with Red Cross caseworkers.
The Holley Wealth Advisory Group of Hilliard Lyons and their investors committed $20,000 to fund this project. “My team, and the kind people we work with, are pleased to give back to a community who has been so good to us. We are especially pleased to be able to work with the Bluegrass Chapter, whose mission and support of the community are so vital” stated Sherry Holley, Senior Vice President of Holley Wealth Advisory Group of Hilliard Lyons. American Red Cross Bluegrass Regional CEO Terry Burkhart said, “We are truly pleased with this project and our partnership with the Holley Wealth Advisory Group of Hilliard Lyons. Corporate partnerships are invaluable to the Red Cross. They make it possible for us to provide essential services to the community.”
