Fuddruckers to Provide Free Lunch in San Andreas for Residents Impacted by Butte Fire


San Andreas, CA (October 2, 2015) – In coordination with Calaveras County and the American Red Cross, the Fuddruckers’ food trailer will be at the Disaster Recover Center on Monday, October 5, 2015 at noon providing free lunch for up to 500 residents. The community event is to be held at the Government Complex at 891 Mountain Ranch Rd, San Andreas in Calaveras County.

“When we heard of the devastation and destruction caused by the Butte Fire we wanted to be a part of the relief efforts for all those affected. We hope our food trucks will provide some respite of this community that has been devastated by these fires,” said George Almeida, Fuddruckers franchise owner

California Wildfires Response by the Numbers:

  • over 110,000 meals and snacks served by Salvation Army, Southern Baptist, community groups, local restaurants and the Red Cross
  • over 50,000 relief items water, snacks, non-perishable meals, and clean-up items such as gloves, buckets, trash bags, sifters, and dust masks
  • over 11,000 overnight stays in community or Red Cross shelters
  • over 8,500 health and mental health contacts
  • over 1,200 cases opened by Red Cross caseworkers to provide individualized recovery support.
