American Red Cross to Host Preparedness Events at Microsoft Stores

The American Red Cross will host a series of interactive safety education stations at the Microsoft Stores at West Farm Mall (Farmington, Connecticut) and Danbury Fair Mall (Danbury, Connecticut). The events will take place Thursday, September 15 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Microsoft Store at West Farms Mall and Tuesday, September 20 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Danbury Fair Mall.

Disasters can strike at any time and its important families are prepared in advance to know what to do in the event of a disasters. These fun events will include important home fire safety information, how to build a preparedness kit and special activities for children.

“The Red Cross is excited to partner with Microsoft for these special preparedness classes during National Preparedness Month,” said Mario Bruno, CEO, American Red Cross Connecticut and Rhode Island Region.  “We urge everyone to prepare now, before a disaster hits, because you never know when one will impact you and your family.”

These events are free and open to the public, but registration must be done in advance.
