We fully appreciate the intricacies and value of all that the Red Cross does

Cartus, based in Danbury, Connecticut is partnering with the American Red Cross Connecticut Chapter through our Ready 365 Giving Program.  Ready 365 is a way for organizations to partner with the Red Cross to support our humanitarian mission, and stand with us as we provide lifesaving services to our community. As part of the partnership, Cartus has contributed $10,000 to the campaign.

“We’re appreciative to Cartus for this generous gift and for becoming a Ready 365 Giving Program Partner in this region,” said Mario Bruno, CEO, American Red Cross Connecticut and Rhode Island Region. “Cartus’ partnership is a key resource in helping us educate communities on how to be prepared for and recover from any kind of disaster.”

Bill Wilson, Senior Vice President, Cartus, and Red Cross Board of Directors member, had this to say about the partnership, “As a leader in the relocation industry, Cartus has seen firsthand the impact that unforeseen emergencies can have on companies and their employees. Because of this, we fully appreciate the intricacies and value of all that the Red Cross does. Every single day, people are significant beneficiaries of Red Cross services. We’re proud to play a part in supporting the efforts of one of the greatest organizations in the world.”

Cartus’ contribution will support American Red Cross emergency preparedness and response services in Connecticut and Rhode Island.

“When disaster strikes, the Red Cross is there to provide immediate assistance with housing, food and other emergency needs,” Bruno said. “Through Ready365, we look to proactively help families be better prepared for disaster like the residential fires that make up the majority of our local disaster responses.”

Last year, the Red Cross responded to more than 1,000 local disasters in Connecticut and Rhode Island – most of them residential fires. The Home Fire Preparedness Campaign will bring Red Cross volunteers into communities to educate residents about fire safety and fire escape planning, as well as to install smoke alarms free of charge.

Through the partnership, Cartus employees will have the opportunity to volunteer with the Red Cross. Cartus will also share safety information and tips from the Red Cross during the campaign.
