Maui Volunteers Open Shelters due to Flooding and Landslides

Shelters were opened for residents evacuated from their homes due to flooding and landslides.

Maui volunteers with the American Red Cross opened a shelter at Hana High School on Friday, December 30th and at Velma Santos Community Center on Saturday December 31st for residents evacuated from their homes due to flooding, landslides and flash flood warnings.

The Red Cross is not a government agency and depends on public contributions to help others. All Red Cross assistance to disaster victims is free.
