Oahu Volunteers Respond to Hazardous Methane Release in Waipahu

Red Cross assisted with temporary housing and immediate emergency needs.

Volunteers with the American Red Cross responding to a hazardous methane release reported on Pupuole Street in Waipahu.  Red Cross disaster volunteers met with the affected residents and provide assistance with temporary housing and immediate emergency needs. Caseworkers will continue to follow up with those affected in the coming weeks to provide referrals, guidance or additional assistance as needed.
