Red Cross Shelter Opened for Waianae Police Standoff

On Sunday, the American Red Cross opened a shelter at the Waianae District Park (85-601 Farrington Hwy., Waianae, HI 96792) in Waianae for residents evacuated from their homes due to a police stand off. The shelter opened at 1:30pm and closed at 4:30pm.

The Red Cross is a non-profit humanitarian organization which provides assistance to meet the immediate emergency needs of those affected by disasters.
