The American Red Cross Central and Southern Illinois will be celebrating 100 years of service in 2017 and plans are underway to highlight the milestone throughout the region.
As part of the celebration, the Red Cross is asking for the public’s help in gathering stories, memories and photos about the Red Cross.
“It is such a privilege to celebrate 100 years of serving our communities and the yearlong Centennial Celebration is really about those we have served and those who have made that service possible,” said Lyn Hruska, Chief Executive Officer for the American Red Cross Central and Southern Illinois Region. “We want to bring our history to life through personal stories and memories.”
Anyone who has a Red Cross story, memory or photo they would like to share should contact Trish Burnett at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 309-258-4920.
The American Red Cross Serving Central and Southern Illinois includes three chapters—the American Red Cross Serving Central Illinois, the American Red Cross Serving the Quad Cities and West Central Illinois and the American Red Cross Serving South Central Illinois. All three chapters will be a part of the Centennial Celebration.
