I've been having fun ... I love playing with all the other kids.

Five-year-old Chloey West couldn't show off her new t-shirt shirt quick enough when asked how her stay in the American Red Cross shelter in Gonzales, Louisiana, was going.

"I love my new shirt I got when I came here," West said, pointing to Elsa, from the movie "Frozen" on the front of her shirt. "'I've been wearing it every day."

Chloey, an older brother, and mother, Ashanti, have been staying at the shelter since being evacuated from their Baton Rouge home when the catastrophic flooding began. Choley spends most of her days with many other kids at the shelter's children's play area, which features books, toys and games that have been donated.

"I've been having fun," she said. "I love playing with all the other kids. I love playing with the puzzles."

She said she also enjoyed the food, especially the noodles.

"These are so good," she said, smiling.
