On Wednesday night, March 16, the American Red Cross honored outstanding New York City volunteers at a dinner held at their NYC headquarters in midtown Manhattan. More than 200 people attended the event to recognize the volunteers who went above and beyond the call of duty to help their neighbors and friends in need this past year.
“Whether you serve in disaster or Service to the Armed Forces or International Services or in a support role or as part of a Red Cross Club, the work you do to deliver the mission of the Red Cross is incredible and important,” said regional CEO Josh Lockwood as he kicked off the event.
Before presenting the awards, Josh introduced John ”Ozzy” Osborn, chairman of the board of directors for the Greater New York Red Cross who is also an active Red Cross volunteer. As part of his support, John and his team at BBDO have provided hundreds of hours of service to the Red Cross to help elevate the mission of the organization.
