Central PA Spreads Holiday Cheer from Home to Baghdad

User News Image

The Central PA Region is delivering holiday cheer to military members and veterans, both here at home as well as across the world at our sister chapter in Baghdad. Every corner of our region has had a hand in supporting our military this holiday season, including:

Royer's Flowers and Gifts collected hundreds of holiday cards and coloring pages for active military and veterans, as part of our Holidays for Heroes program. The items are destined for military installations, VFWs, American Legions, the Lebanon VA and retirement homes throughout our 22-county central Pennsylvania region.

Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home collected and sent approximately 500 stockings filled with gifts for our service men and women stationed at our sister chapter in Baghdad.

Over 350 DVDs were donated from across the region and sent to deployed service men and women at our sister chapter in Baghdad. A special thank you to Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital, Muncy Bank, Pik Rite, and Service 1st Credit Union for their help in collecting the DVD’s, to the the residents of Country Meadows Senior Care in Mechanicsburg who beautifully wrapped the DVDs and wrote thoughtful cards, and to Hudock Capital Group who sponsored the shipping and gifted two DVD players.

Finally, our region was delighted to donate a Christmas tree to our sister chapter in Baghdad for them to decorate and enjoy.

Thank you to everyone that helped to deliver some holiday spirit to our heroes near and far!
