This community event is free and open to the public. Bring the entire family for food, games and kid-friendly activities including face painting and a petting zoo! Meet some of our staff and volunteers and learn about our community programs and services. We will host an on-site blood drive and door prizes will also be distributed.
“This is an exciting time for the American Red Cross Greater Houston Area chapter to celebrate this special milestone with our community,” said Ronald Jackson, American Red Cross Texas Gulf Coast Region Chief Development Officer. “We invite those who already know and love the Red Cross and also the next generation of supporters and volunteers.”
For the last century, the American Red Cross Greater Houston Area chapter has assisted individuals and families impacted by disasters both large and small. In that time, the Red Cross has also served millions of local people – providing health and safety instruction, supporting military members and their families, reuniting families torn apart by war or conflict and also providing non-emergency transportation services.
The Red Cross Greater Houston Area chapter is celebrating its centennial anniversary with key events over the course of the year.
