Red Cross Strengthens Response Capacity in Uintah Basen

Without the support of community partnerships like QEP Resources and our team of volunteers, the Red Cross could not fully carry out its mission. The power of volunteers and generosity of donors is the backbone of that mission.

The American Red Cross in Utah, held a special ceremony in Vernal Utah recently to publicly acknowledge and thank QEP Resources for generously donating crucial emergency supplies that are stored in the local Red Cross supply trailer. The donation helps provide the local Red Cross DAT team (Disaster Assistance Team) with enhanced response capacity.

The event will also provided an opportunity to thank local Red Cross volunteers and first responders that help make Vernal and the surrounding communities in the Uintah Basin resilient in the face of disasters large and small. During the brief ceremony Red Cross representatives from the Utah Regional Office in Salt Lake City and QEP representatives were on hand to apply QEP Logo signage to the trailer as a public sign of recognition and appreciation.

According to Utah Regional CEO Heidi Ruster “Without the support of community partnerships like QEP Resources and our team of volunteers, the Red Cross could not fully carry out its mission. The power of volunteers and generosity of donors is the backbone of that mission” she added.
