Red Cross Opens Shelter in Worland, WY

Red Cross of Wyoming has opened a shelter in Worland to assist those people affected by the ice jam flooding occurring now. The shelter is at the Worland Community Center, 1200 Culbertson in Worland. Those affected can receive food, shelter and information.

Ice has jammed the Big Horn River as it goes through the town of Worland. Flooding is occurring behind the jam due to the river backing up at the jam site. EM is anticipating evacuation of about 75 homes.
