Red Cross Volunteers Support Sandwich First Responders

Red Cross Volunteers Support Sandwich First Responders
Many thanks to both our volunteers and Red Cross partners.

On Thursday, June 26th, Red Cross Volunteers from the Cape Cod and Islands Chapter responded to a 5 alarm fire at the Sandwich Transfer Station.

Seven Volunteers supported over 100 firefighters for almost 12 hours by serving 285 meals and 656 snacks which included water, Powerade, and Dunkin Donuts Coffee.

Many thanks to both our volunteers and Red Cross partners Coca Cola Bottling in Sandwich, Sandwich House of Pizza, and South Dennis Dunkin Donuts for helping keep our first responders fed and hydrated on a hot and humid day!

All services provided by the American Red Cross come free of charge. The Red Cross continues to be able to provide these and other such disaster response services thanks to benevolent donations. To learn more about donating please visit redcross.org/ma/hyannis.
