Red Cross Thanks Unum Volunteers for Service
These wonderful volunteers pulled the expired toothpaste from 288 Comfort Kits, filled 50 comfort kits with Mickey Mouse stuffed dolls, and rolled coloring pages around crayons to create a fun activity for all 288 kits!

On Wednesday, September 10th, 5 volunteers from Unum (a Tennessee-based fortune 500 insurance company which has a local office in Worcester, MA) came out to the Central MA Chapter of the Red Cross for the Comfort the Red Cross project.

The Central Chapter had many children’s comfort kits (specialized kits containing basic supplies handed out to provide relief after a disaster) that contained expired toothpaste and needed to be maintained. Under the supervision of Red Crosser Suzanne Billings, these wonderful volunteers pulled the expired toothpaste from 288 Comfort Kits, filled 50 comfort kits with Mickey Mouse stuffed dolls, and rolled coloring pages around crayons to create a fun activity for all 288 kits (By the end they could fill a Rubbermaid Tub)!

The American Red Cross proudly thanks these volunteers from Unum for their amazing work! As a charitable organization, the Red Cross relies on the hard work and donations of its neighbors in order to continue to provide compassionate care for those who need it most.
