A team of licensed mental health volunteers from the American Red Cross is traveling to New York City to support the opening of the 9/11 Memorial Museum.
The team’s primary focus will be providing emotional support for families affected by the disaster as they visit the museum during the week prior to the public opening.
Beginning Thursday, affected families will be able to tour the Museum 24/7. Three Mental Health volunteers from Maine and one from New Hampshire will join eight others from the northeast to support those visitors.
The Museum opens to the public on May 21.
