Plans are underway for An Evening of Jazz, the annual fundraiser supporting the humanitarian mission of the American Red Cross of North Mississippi and directly benefitting individuals and families in need. The event will be held from 7-10 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, at The Summit, 852 North Gloster St. in Tupelo.
The evening features a food buffet, an amazing silent auction, and great music from the five-member, Mississippi-based band, Cruise Control. More than your typical live band, the variety of their music will have you up and dancing all night. You won’t want to miss it!
When tornadoes ripped through Tupelo last April, Red Cross mobilized resources and volunteers setting up a shelter and mass feeding operations in record time. In short, they were there when North Mississippians needed them most.
“We are only able to do this because of the generous support of our donors and the community. Supporting An Evening of Jazz by being a sponsor or purchasing tickets is the perfect opportunity for people to support our local Red Cross while enjoying a fun-filled evening of food and great entertainment,” said Patty Tucker, executive director of the American Red Cross of North Mississippi.
Event sponsorships from $300 to $5,000 are still available and offer an excellent opportunity for an organization to show its support of the Red Cross and be recognized as a community partner. Individual tickets are $30. For sponsorships, ticket and event information, call 662-842-6101 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Proceeds from the event support the American Red Cross of North Mississippi which serves the 31 counties comprising the northern third of the state.
