Lifeguarding Class In Rockingham County

Lifeguarding ($250, includes t-shirt and pocket mask)

Dates: February 18 and every Thursday night until April 17th, or until completed

Time: 6pm-9pm 

Course Description: Interested in a great summer job or challenging career as a professional lifeguard? Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you’ll learn teamwork, rescue and surveillance skills, First Aid and CPR/AED and other skills you need to work as a professional lifeguard. Training options feature two core courses—Lifeguarding and Shallow Water Lifeguarding (available in a blended learning format)—plus optional add-on modules, including waterfront skills or waterpark skills modules. Successful completion results in a 2-year certification in Lifeguarding that includes first aid, professional-level CPR and AED in one certificate. Digital certificate available upon successful completion of course.

Core Courses

Prerequisites: Must be at least 15 years old and pass certain swimming requirements

 

 

 

JR. Lifeguarding ($125), Ages 11-14,

Course Description: Are you interested in lifeguarding – but not quite old enough yet? This course is designed to give 11 to 14 year olds a sneak peek into what it takes to become a great lifeguard. We cover all the basics and get you ready to enter the American Red Cross Lifeguarding program when you turn 15.

 

Digital certificate available upon successful completion of course
