American Red Cross New Hampshire and our 2014 Heroes Breakfast Title Sponsor, Unitil Corporation, are pleased to announce that WMUR-TV’s Amy Coveno will be this year’s emcee during American Red Cross New Hampshire’s Heroes Breakfast on March 6th at Southern New Hampshire University.
Since 2007, Amy has anchored News 9 This Morning on Saturdays and Sundays -- a program that expanded to three hours in 2011. During the week, Amy is a field reporter, often doing live-shots from crime scenes or severe-weather events. Amy majored in TV journalism at Colorado State University, but didn’t actually get into the business full-time until 2003 when plans to go to law school were diverted by an offer from WHIO in Dayton, Ohio, to report and anchor on weekend mornings. Amy grew up as an Air Force brat and then married into the Air Force herself. She and her husband Rick have been married over 20 years and have traveled the country and the world with his career before settling in New England when he retired.
“We are thrilled to have Amy joining us this year as our Heroes Breakfast Emcee.” Said Maria White, CEO of American Red Cross New Hampshire. “Amy is a great choice to help us honor heroes whose caring service to others reflects the humanitarian spirit of the American Red Cross.”
Join American Red Cross New Hampshire and Title Sponsor Unitil Corporation on Thursday, March 6th from 7:30AM to 9:00AM at Southern New Hampshire University’s Dining and Conference Facility, located at 2500 North River Road in Manchester, where the Red Cross will recognize and honor this year’s heroes who have exhibited extraordinary courage in order to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
