Burlington, a national off-price retailer offering designer merchandise at everyday low prices, with the help of their customers, has raised $200,000 to donate to American Red Cross for Philippines Typhoon Relief Efforts. They made the announcement on #Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday was designed as a way to bring people together through social media and encourage them to give back this holiday season.
“It’s the season of giving and there is no better way to celebrate then by giving to those most in need.” Stated Thomas Kingsbury, Burlington president and chief executive officer. “We are thrilled to be able to partner with our customers to make this significant contribution to the American Red Cross and their extraordinary relief efforts for the people of the Philippines. We hope that these funds will help those affected as they continue to recover and rebuild.”
