Cats Really Don't Have Nine Lives
The Pet First Aid class will cover stopping bleeding, splinting broken bones, and treating for poison.

The American Red Cross of the Southern Tier will host a Pet First Aid class for cat and dog owners from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Red Cross office at 620 E. Main St., Endicott.

The Pet First Aid class will cover the following topics:

• Approaching an injured animal.

• Stopping bleeding, splinting broken bones, and treating for poison.

• Safely transporting an injured pet.

• Creating a pet first aid kit.

• How to have a healthy and happy pet.
