The list of vendors for the Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, Sept. 13, at The Shops at Ithaca Mall has grown to 20 agencies and businesses that will provide visitors with information about health-related products and services.
The Health & Wellness Fair, which runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., is free and open to the public and will feature gift bags for the first 150 visitors and a raffle with prizes donated by the vendors.
Certified CPR instructors from the American Red Cross will offer free, hands-only CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training to participants of all ages. In recognition of National Preparedness Month in September, Red Cross staff and volunteers will also provide visitors with information on how to create an emergency plan in the event of a disaster.
“Whether you’re learning how to perform hands-only CPR or getting information on how to be prepared for a disaster, the American Red Cross wants you and your family to have the tools to be safe this month and at all times,” said Carlos McCluskey, Manager of the American Red Cross of Tompkins County.
Planet Fitness will host the raffle and offer free gift bags to the first 150 visitors. Each vendor will donate an item for the gift bags. Prizes for the raffle will also be donated by vendors and include a variety of health-and-wellness related products and services.
Other Fair highlights: Old Navy will host Alex’s Lemonade Stand to raise money for childhood cancer research; Kinney Drugs will offer flu shots; and Cayuga Medical Center will provide information on its services and facilities.
