Last week, American Red Cross on Long Island staff and supporters gathered to recognize and thank two members of the Rallye Motors leadership team for their gift to the Red Cross—a 2014 Sprinter Van. Late last year, Joe Stanco, President & CEO, Rallye Auto Group and Nick Toomey, VP, Rallye Automotive Group, personally donated the vehicle to the Red Cross Blood Service Division on Long Island.
“Thank you to Joe and Nick for your tremendous support,” said John Miller, CEO of the Long Island Red Cross. “This van will be put to good use in our Blood Services unit to help us continue to save lives every day.”
Over the years, Rallye Motors has demonstrated a deep commitment to supporting local philanthropic and civic causes in their community. This generosity has translated into a deep commitment to the Red Cross mission on Long Island.
To that end, Rallye has provided financial support, hosted Red Cross blood drives and engaged their employees in the Red Cross mission in numerous ways. Additionally, Stanco serves on the Long Island Red Cross Board of Directors alongside his colleague Donna Athenas, HR Director of the Rallye Auto Group.
Because of their longstanding service, Stanco and Toomey have been honored by the Red Cross—Stanco received the 2014 LI Humanitarian Award and Toomey was presented the Good Neighbor Award in 2012.
