Red Cross Continues to Support New Yorkers Affected by Haiyan.

As the American Red Cross, along with Red Cross/Red Crescent partners, are responding to emergency needs in the Philippines, here in Greater New York the Red Cross is supporting New Yorkers concerned about loved ones who may have been affected by the storm, including our area’s large Filipino community.

  • Call center: The Greater NY Red Cross is operating a call center out of its Regional HQ for New Yorkers trying to locate loved ones in the Philippines as well as those coping with the emotional trauma caused by the storm. The number for the call center is 1-877-REDCROSS (877-733-2767) ***Please note that our tracing services are for those looking for Filipino Nationals. Individuals seeking information about United States nationals should call the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Overseas Citizen Services, 202-647-5225.***
  • Community Outreach: The Red Cross continues to work with Filipino community partners and elected officials to help support neighborhoods in Greater New York with large Filipino populations.
  • People wishing to donate to the American Red Cross to support the response for this typhoon can go to redcross.org or call 1-800-REDCROSS.
