The American Red Cross, Greater Rochester Chapter is planning to honor the dedicated volunteers who make the mission of the Red Cross possible Wednesday evening during the 2013 Volunteer Appreciation and Recognition Event.
“Volunteers truly are the backbone of the Red Cross,” said Nancy Blaschak, Regional CEO. “These are the folks who get up in the middle of the night to help a family that just lost everything in a fire, make that connection to bring a serviceman home to be there for the birth of his child and so much more, all out of the goodness of their hearts. We are so thankful for everything our volunteers do to support this community 365 days a year.”
