Vernon Downs, Jeff Gural Set $50,000 Goal for Flood Relief

All Proceeds From Champions Buffet Through Aug. 18 Will Go To Local Red Cross
It is important to us to help our neighbors impacted by these devastating floods and give our customers a bargain as well.

Vernon Downs Casino and Hotel in Vernon will donate all proceeds from its Champions Buffet from Monday, Aug. 12, through Sunday, Aug. 18, to aid residents of Herkimer, Madison, Oneida and Montgomery counties who were affected by the June floods in Central New York and the Mohawk Valley. Vernon Downs hopes to raise $50,000 to give to the local American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

During the week, patrons who donate $5 will receive a free buffet. Patrons are also encouraged to donate additional funds above the $5, as Chairman of American Racing and Entertainment Jeff Gural will generously match the additional donations up to $50 per person.

According to Mr. Gural, “It is important to us to help our neighbors impacted by these devastating floods and give our customers a bargain as well.”
