Volunteer Information Session - Coshocton County

Red Cross Emergency Response Vehicle providing relief after Superstorm Sandy.
Our Red Cross volunteers touch lives every day here in our community.

The American Red Cross of East Central Ohio is strengthening efforts to recruit new volunteers who are interested in helping their fellow citizens in times of emergency in Coshocton County.  A special informational meeting has been scheduled to answer questions and invite residents to consider joining the ranks of Red Cross volunteers, who now make up 94% of the organization’s workforce.  The meeting is set for:

Thursday, March 20, 2014

11:00a-1:00p

245 North Fourth Street

Coshocton, OH 43812

Prospective volunteers will learn about a variety of opportunities available - from disaster relief work to helping in the office, plus many other roles.  They’ll also get a chance to ask staff and other volunteers about their experiences and learn about the training required for different volunteer positions.

“Red Cross volunteers touch lives every day,” said Kelly Brenneman, Territory Manager, American Red Cross of East Central ohio. “They’re amazing people who selflessly help strangers at some of the worst moments of their lives. Still, they often tell us how they find their own lives changed in the process.”

Those interested in becoming volunteers will learn how to sign up for assignments and how to seek out different kinds of roles within the organization. Light refreshments will be served!

Anyone interested in learning more about becoming a Red Cross volunteer is invited to attend the meeting.  Please call (740) 662-0228 to RSVP or ask questions.
