Regional Red Cross volunteers will step out to say “thanks” to Fred Meyer stores, and store customers, for their support over the years via a series of customer appreciation events on Saturday mornings October 5 through November 2. Supporting six chapters throughout the Cascades Region, Fred Meyer helps to instill strong community involvement in the American Red Cross, offering financial contributions as well as participation in preparedness programs, health and safety training, and blood drives. Free coffee, bright smiles and preparedness tips will be offered to customers of 20 Fred Meyer locations throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.
WHAT: Fred Meyer Customer Appreciation Days is a way to recognize Fred Meyer for their support, and to convey to Fred Meyer customers that their store patronage helps to support the American Red Cross in their community.
WHO: Red Cross volunteers will be stationed in a Red Cross emergency service vehicle, mobile kitchen or other branded vehicle, at appropriate areas in store parking lots or store entrances. They will offer free coffee, bright smiles and disaster preparedness information to customers
