With the holiday season fast approaching, many area residents are preparing to enjoy a time for family, friends and festivities. However, for many people, the holiday season is also a time for charity and generosity. Next month, the local American Red Cross will host its 23rd annual Holiday Splendor Gala, giving area residents the opportunity to enjoy holiday fun while also giving back to their community.
The 23rd annual Holiday Splendor Gala will be held on Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Ramada Greensburg Hotel and Conference Center, located at 100 Sheraton Drive in Greensburg. The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Guests can browse the selection of auction items and prizes during that time. Dinner is served at 6:30 p.m.
“We look forward to our Holiday Splendor Gala every year,” said Donna Pacella, executive director of the local Red Cross. “We are so fortunate to serve a generous community that shows the true spirit of the season by attending this event to benefit their neighbors in need.”
The event will feature various door prizes, live and silent auctions and mystery boxes. Tickets to the event are $75 and include 25 door prize tickets; various sponsorship opportunities are available.
All proceeds benefit the programs and services of the local Red Cross. Attendees can enjoy the evening knowing that their donations will help a neighbor in need after a disaster.
