American Red Cross of the Susquehanna Valley, 1804 N 6th Street, Harrisburg has been honored with a recognition by Harrisburg Magazine in its selection of the 16th annual “Simply The Best” Readers' Poll Winners. The organization was selected as a Reader’s Choice for outstanding Volunteer Organization.
Ellen Kyzer, MPA, Regional Executive Officer, American Red Cross Serving Central Pennsylvania said, "We are so thrilled to have the support of the community in this recognition of the American Red Cross as an outstanding volunteer organization. 95 percent of our workforce are volunteers and, without them, we would not be able to provide our programs of disaster response and preparedness. The honor will be presented to the organization along with other Readers Poll Winners at an event on August 29th.
