Northeast, PA, March 17, 2014, — The American Red Cross Northeast Pennsylvania Region officially announces Michele J. Baehr as the new Executive Director for the Pocono and Wayne Pike Chapters. Ms. Baehr replaces Jim Rienhardt, who retired at the end of 2013.
Peter M. Brown, Regional CEO said, “We are excited to add Michele to the Red Cross team. Her knowledge and expertise in sales along with her experience and managerial skills will be a valuable asset to the Pocono and Wayne Pike Chapters.”
Prior to accepting her role with the American Red Cross, Baehr was Regional Sales Manager for LensCrafters. She has also held sales managerial and director positions with Ann Taylor Factory Stores, Polo Ralph Lauren and The Limited, Inc. Baehr has been a resident of the Pocono area since 1987. She is actively involved in the community through many local agencies and has been an advocate for national organizations such as: St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and LensCrafters OneSight missions. Her memberships include: Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Realtors, President of Rotary Club of the Stroudsburgs from 2010-2011 and Capital Campaign Steering Committee for Bushkill Reformed Church.
