Red Cross Helping 11 People After Saturday Fire in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I., OCTOBER 28, 2013 – The American Red Cross is helping 11 people – nine adults and two children – in three families after a fire Saturday, October 26, on Wendell Street in Providence.

The Red Cross is helping with emergency housing and food needs. The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.
