Red Cross Helps Family of Three After Jamestown Fire

Red Cross Responds to Multi-Unit Apartment Fire in Columbia
The Red Cross is providing help with emergency food, clothing, baby and household needs.

JAMESTOWN, R.I., July 21, 2014 – The American Red Cross is helping a family of two adults and one child with emergency food, clothing, baby and household needs after a fire Sunday on Schooner Avenue in Jamestown. Red Cross volunteers Charlie Fitzpatrick and Tri Trinh responded to assist the family.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a family might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire. 

American Red Cross disaster assistance is free of charge, a gift made possible by generous donations and the work of volunteers.
