ARC Assisting Emergency Responders at Lake Hartwell

Volunteers assisting emergency responders searching for kayaker

LAKE HARTWELL, SC - February 12, 2015 - American Red Cross volunteers are assisting emergency response crews that are searching for a missing kayaker on Lake Hartwell in South Carolina. Per request of the Oconee County Emergency Management Agency, the Red Cross is providing meals, snacks, and hydration to more than 40 emergency responders. The Red Cross is prepared to continue to assist as long as needed.
