May Day Citizen CPR Event May 17th at Area Malls – Free!

User News Image
Most people who survive Sudden Cardiac Arrest are helped by a trained citizen bystander.

Learn how to save a life with free hands-only Citizen CPR training at area malls on May 17, compliments of Price's Creameries and Western Refining. Red Cross El Paso is proudly partnering with the Drowning Prevention Coalition and El Paso Fire Department to offer this free (non-certified) training. Community members will enjoy free CPR training, led by Red Cross-trained CPR leaders, every half hour at the designated locations below. Participants will be eligible for free giveaways. This event is a great way for families, especially those with home pools, to learn free life-saving skills at a convenient location – their local mall:

Location, Address, Time:

  • Bassett Place – 6101 Gateway Blvd W, 79925 – 11:00am-3:00pm (in front of Kohl's)
  • Cielo Vista – 8401 Gateway Blvd W, 79925 – 12:00-4:00pm (near the center escalators)
  • Fountains at Farah – 8889 Gateway Blvd W, 79925 – 12:00-4:00pm (in conjunction with the Cowboys and Heroes Rodeo Expo in the Ampitheatre area)
  • Sunland Park – 750 Sunland Park Dr, 79912 – 12:00-4:00pm (downstairs in front of Dillard's women's department)

It is the goal of Red Cross and its partners to educate our community on preparedness and to reduce the number of drownings that occur in El Paso. We encourage all El Pasoans to take advantage of this free opportunity to learn Citizen CPR.
