Red Cross Announces New Partnerships for Community Preparedness

10/7/14 - Greater Houston - Red Cross Announces New Partnerships for Community Preparedness
This partnership doesn’t end with the summer months.

The American Red Cross Greater Houston Area Chapter has partnered with AT&T, the City of Houston and the Harris County Sherriff’s Office to teach water safety and disaster preparedness courses. Throughout the summer, the American Red Cross taught water safety courses within our communities. These courses are taught year round, but this last summer with the support of the Harris County Sherriff’s Department and AT&T…we taught numerous young Houstonians the importance of water safety and community disaster preparedness.

This partnership doesn’t end with the summer months. The Harris County Sherriff’s Department, AT&T and the City of Houston will continue to help the Red Cross educate our community about the vital importance of disaster preparedness and community reliance. The partners announced the additional initiatives at a press event held Tuesday, September 16, 2014 from 10 AM to 11 AM at Bear Creek Park, 3535 War Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77084.
