2014 Arkansas Heroes Nominations

The American Red Cross of Greater Arkansas asks for your nomination of lifesaving Arkansans to be recognized this January at the American Red Cross Heroes Celebration presented by Verizon and Nokia Siemens Network. The celebration luncheon will recognize select lifesaving Arkansans from all ages and walks of life trained and prepared to answer a call for help.

To nominate a hero today for the 2014 American Red Cross Heroes Celebration, please submit your form by November 26, 2013. You can download the nomination form, send it online or mail it in.

FIREFIGHTER: Presented to a professional or volunteer firefighter(s), including dispatchers, whose lifesaving actions were heroic above and beyond the call of duty.

WATER SAFETY: Presented to an individual(s) who went above and beyond the call of duty to respond to an aquatic emergency.

GOOD SAMARITAN YOUTH: Presented to an outstanding youth(s) who courageously responded to a potentially life-threatening emergency.

GOOD SAMARITAN ADULT: Presented to an outstanding adult(s) who courageously responded to a potentially life-threatening emergency.

WORKPLACE HERO: Presented to an employee (owner, manager, and general staff) whose life saving actions goes beyond expectations to save the life of a co-worker or person at their workplace.

EDUCATOR HERO: Presented to an educator(s) using life-saving training to save a life.

MARINE RESCUE HERO: Presented to a professional rescuer(s) or ordinary citizen(s) rescuing a person from a lake, river or other body of water.

WILDERNESS RESCUE HERO: Presented to an ordinary citizen(s) or professional rescuer(s) involved in rescuing a person in a wilderness environment.

LAW ENFORCEMENT: Presented to a professional police officer(s) or related law enforcement official(s), including dispatchers with a duty to respond, who exhibit exceptional heroism either in response to an emergency potentially life-threatening situation or through such on-going responses.

MILITARY: Presented to an active, reserve, ROTC or retired member(s) of the armed forces, or military supporter(s), who acted heroically above and beyond the call of duty in a non-combat incident.

HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL: Presented to a doctor(s) or nurse(s) who exhibited extraordinary response to an emergency or life-threatening situation outside a medical setting.
