“The Catch”: Autographed by Joe Montana and Dwight Clark
“Montana lines up at the five...and on third-downand-three he rolls right, looking to throw...looking to throw...and he throws into the end zone...Touchdown! Touchdown! Touchdown, San Francisco, by Dwight Clark!”
No San Francisco 49ers fan will ever forget this moment, arguably the most important play in NFL history… certainly in 49ers history. As the underdog in the 1981 NFC Championship game against the vaunted Dallas Cowboys, nobody thought the 49ers had a chance. Capping an 89 yard drive with 58 seconds left in the game and down by six points, Montana’s connection to Clark changed the fortunes of a franchise that had been the NFC West doormat for years. They went on to win the Super Bowl that year, and would win four more in subsequent years. But it all started with…….The Catch!
This beautifully framed and matted collectable shows both the off-balance throw, and the grab by Dwight Clark. It is hand signed by both Joe Montana and Clark, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Lot #10: Hands That See by Mario Chiodo
The artist proof for the creation of “Hands That See” honors Helen Keller (1880—1968), who was blind and deaf from infancy but overcame a life of silence and darkness to become the “First Lady of Courage”. She has proven that regardless of any disability, one can live a meaningful life and affect the lives of others. Helen Keller with Hands that See is part of the “Remember Them: Champions for Humanity Monument”, located in downtown Oakland, a tribute to 25 culturally diverse role models who have made significant contributions towards global peace, freedom, and human rights over the past 150 years. The monument was created and completed by Mario Chiodo, the artist behind the original Star Wars masks. After the attack of 9/11, Chiodo decided to leave the consumer industry to focus on creating arts that tell stories about compassion for humanity, making the “Remember Them” monument an inspiration of his artistic journey.
