The Holmes County Chapter of the American Red Cross is hosting the 20th Annual Benefit Auction on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Mt. Hope Auction Barn, 8076 State Road 241 in Mt. Hope. The day’s activities begin at 7:00 a.m. with a breakfast buffet and then at 8:00 a.m. a bake sale of delicious pies, breads, cakes and cookies. The main auction begins at 9:00 a.m.; the lawn furniture sale starts at 10:00 a.m., the handcrafted furniture sale at 11:00 a.m. and a quilt sale begins at 1:00 p.m. A sampling of the new, donated hand-crafted items include: oak, cherry and walnut bedroom sets, tables and chairs, desks, coffee and end tables, shelves, stands, beautiful handmade quilts (variety of sizes) and wall hangings.
Throughout the day the American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be onsite from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. For those attending with an appetite, Bar-B-Q Chicken will be served (carryout available) and also handmade ice cream, root beer floats, fry pies, sandwiches, kettle corn and other delicious items.
