The City of Clinton will host the second annual Anderson County Emergency Preparedness Fair in collaboration with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Associated Baptist Churches of Clinton and the American Red Cross. The fair will help attendees develop their family disaster plan, receive preparedness tips and learn more about preparedness in the community.
The fair features over forty agencies including the American Red Cross, ORNL Emergency Management, Y-12 Emergency Management, ORISE, Anderson County Emergency Management, Lodge Dutch Oven Outlet, The Grain Loft, Shelf Reliance and many more to educate on emergency preparedness. In addition, there will be classes, booths, demonstrations, door prizes, a children’s area and emergency/disaster response vehicles on site.
Along with such popular classes as food preservation, family disaster planning and bread baking, this year’s lineup also features a panel of experts, ranging from first responders to government officials, who will be available to answer questions from the audience during a classroom discussion. From severe weather and disaster management to storing food and water, the Anderson County Emergency Preparedness Fair has something for the entire family. The event is free, for more information visit www.acprepfair.org.
