Volunteers, staff and community partners of the Greensboro Chapter of the American Red Cross, will be recognized during our Annual Meeting & Volunteer Recognition, which will be held at 5:30pm on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Christ United Methodist Church on 410 North Holden Road in Greensboro. This event is open to the public but please send an RSVP by Tuesday, May 28 to Anne Vestal at (336) 332-6916 or via email email@example.com.
Several traditional Red Cross “outstanding service to chapter” awards will also be given. The Clara Barton Award rewards extensive and dedicated local and national service by a volunteer. The Douglas Award recognizes cooperative partnership work between a corporation or organization and Greensboro Chapter. This award is named after R. D. Douglas, the Chapter’s first chairman. Three generations of the Douglas family have served on Greensboro Chapter’s board of directors. Each line of service (Blood, Emergency, and Health & Safety) will also honor their volunteers, as well as businesses and organizations, for their support of and commitment to the Greensboro Chapter American Red Cross.
Special thanks to Christ United Methodist Church for hosting this event and preparing the meal. We extend our sincere ‘thank you’ to the Greensboro community for supporting the American Red Cross.
