On June 20, 2013, the American Red Cross of Lackawanna County will host a new and awe-inspiring event to recognize ordinary people from the community who have performed the extraordinary deed of saving someone's life.
The "Everyday Heroes" Awards will honor nominees from the following categories: Military, Adult Good Samaritan, Firefighter, Law Enforcement, Emergency Services and Medical.
The event will be held at Genetti Manor, Dickson City. Food and cocktails will be served from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Silent Auction and Wall of Wine will also be featured. From 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., The "Everyday Heroes" Awards Ceremony will be held.
Honorary Chairs of the event are Congressman Matt Cartwright and his wife, Attorney Marion Munley Cartwright. Mary Marrara of Jermyn, a tireless volunteer for the Red Cross and other charities, will be presented with the Community Service Award.
Tickets for the "Everyday Heroes" Awards are $75. A table (ten seats) can be reserved for $700.

All proceeds of the "Everyday Heroes" Awards benefit the American Red Cross of Lackawanna County and the community it serves. Whether it is a fire, flood, emergency evacuation or whatever disaster occurs, the American Red Cross if there when help can't wait.
