Free International Humanitarian Law Course in Monterey

International Red Cross little girl

Learn about International Humanitarian Law during a free course in March. The American Red Cross Monterey Bay Area Chapter is offering the free class about the rules of engagement in armed conflict (The Geneva Conventions) and the critical role the Red Cross has played in the development of International Humanitarian Law and educating the public about its importance.

The course includes information about American Red Cross international relief efforts in areas of armed conflict as well as the reunification of families who are victims of conflict. A major segment of the course will explore how International Humanitarian Law can help protect people who are the most vulnerable in times of war and armed conflict.
