The American Red Cross is hosting free preparedness workshops on 10/24 at 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm at the Simi Valley Senior Center.
These free, interactive preparedness presentations will provide individuals in Ventura County with the education and tools to prepare themselves for emergencies. This presentation, which is geared towards the senior community, teaches residents the three ways to be prepared for disasters:
1. Get a kit
2. Make a plan
3. Be Informed
The workshop will highlight information about how to create a cost-efficient emergency kit, putting together a game plan, ways to stay informed both during and after a disaster and preparedness tips for seniors.
As part of their participation in the workshop, each resident will receive a free disaster preparedness packet, including an educational guide, an emergency document holder and more.
To register for the workshop, please call (805) 583-6363.
